New Taking on two builds for Q4 2026

We design and build that people actually want to use.

Caption Solutions is one senior team covering web development, app development and UI design. From the first sketch to a live URL and an app in both stores — then we keep it running.

What we deliver

Three disciplines, one team accountable for all of them

No handing design to one agency and the build to another. The people in your kickoff call are the ones writing the code.

Web development

Marketing sites, customer portals, dashboards and internal tools. Typed end to end, fast on a mid-range phone, and documented so your own developers can pick it up.

  • React
  • Next.js
  • Node
  • Postgres

App development

iOS and Android from one codebase, or native where the product needs it. Offline handling, push, payments and store submission — we take the release process off your desk.

  • React Native
  • Swift
  • Kotlin
  • Store releases

UI and UX design

Research, flows, screens and a design system your team can build on. Prototyped in the browser, not only in Figma, so what gets approved is what ships.

  • Product design
  • Design systems
  • Prototyping
  • Accessibility

E-commerce

Storefronts and migrations off platforms you've outgrown. Checkout work measured against revenue rather than opinion, and instrumented so you can see what each change did.

  • Shopify
  • Hydrogen
  • Payments

Support and maintenance

Dependency updates, security patches, uptime monitoring and a block of development hours each month. Same team throughout, so nobody relearns your codebase mid-incident.

  • Monitoring
  • Patching
  • Monthly hours

Integrations and APIs

Connecting the tools you already pay for — CRMs, ERPs, payment and logistics providers — with error handling that tells you what failed instead of failing quietly.

  • REST and GraphQL
  • Webhooks
  • Data sync
01

Discovery

A paid discovery week. We map requirements, talk to the people who'll actually use the thing, and flag the risky parts early. You leave with a fixed scope, a timeline and a cost you can take to your board — whether or not you hire us for the build.

Week 1

02

Design

Flows and screens for the paths that carry the most traffic, reviewed with you before a line of production code exists. Everything after that follows the design system we set up here, so later screens cost hours instead of days.

Weeks 2–3

03

Build

Two-week cycles against a staging URL that's live from day one. You see working software every Friday, and you can change direction while changing direction is still cheap. Test builds go to your phone the same week for app projects.

Weeks 4–12

04

Launch

Deployment, monitoring, store submission and a walkthrough with your team. Documentation is written as we go, not scrambled together at the end, and the repository and accounts are yours — not held on ours.

Launch week

05

Support

Most agencies go quiet here. We stay on a care plan: patches, dependency updates, monitoring and a monthly block of development hours for the small changes that always pile up after real people start using it.

Ongoing

Working together

Three ways to bring us in

Every project is quoted after the scoping call, because a real estimate needs to know what it's estimating. The cost is fixed before anyone starts.

Fixed-scope project

For a defined build with a launch date — a new site, an app, a rebuild, a migration.

  • Scope and timeline agreed up front
  • One quoted cost, no hourly surprises
  • Weekly demos on staging
  • Code and accounts handed over at launch

Typically 6–14 weeks

Embedded team

For products that keep evolving. Our engineers and designers work in your stand-ups, your board, your repo.

  • One to four people, full or part time
  • Your tools and your process
  • Monthly commitment, 30 days' notice
  • Scale up or down each quarter

Rolling monthly

Care plan

For products already live — ours or someone else's — that need one team responsible for them.

  • Updates, patching and uptime monitoring
  • A block of development hours each month
  • Named engineer who knows your codebase
  • Response times written into the agreement

Rolling monthly

Most clients start with a fixed-scope build and move onto a care plan after launch.

"First agency that gave us a repo we could still read after they left."

CTO, logistics software company — 40 staff, web platform and driver app

We work best with companies that already have a business working and need the product side built to match. Usually 20 to 400 staff, often with a small internal dev team we work alongside rather than replace.

  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Next.js
  • React Native
  • Swift
  • Kotlin
  • Node
  • Postgres
  • AWS

Tell us what you're building

A 30-minute call, then a written summary of what we'd build, how long it would take and what it would cost. No charge for either.
